Oman and the United States are exploring avenues to enhance their trade and investment partnership, focusing on expanding market access and attracting investments. This development follows a meeting between Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Oman’s Minister of Economy, and representatives from the Oman Trade Office in the United States during their recent visit to Oman. The discussions aimed at boosting Omani exports and drawing American investment into Oman, reflecting a mutual commitment to deepen economic ties.
The meeting emphasized the achievements of the Oman Trade Office in the U.S., while also addressing challenges and future plans for strengthening economic relations. Key areas of focus included increasing access for Omani products in the U.S. market and identifying new opportunities for trade cooperation.
Bilateral trade between Oman and the U.S. reached approximately OMR 555.26 million by the end of July 2026, underscoring the significance of this economic relationship. Oman’s major exports to the U.S. include chemicals and aluminium, whereas vehicles and transport equipment are prominent among American exports to Oman. These trade dynamics highlight the ongoing and potential areas for economic collaboration between the two nations.
